Obtain permission from Sharon Springs Fire Marshall |
Made phone call to Virgil & Peggy. Got numbers for Stan, Jay and Scott. Jay Sharp is the Wallace County/Sharon Springs fire chief and is the authority having jurisdiction. Spoke with Jay on 7/11/7 at about 1pm. He stated that he was on board and I had permission to proceed. We didn't get to discuss details due to a bad phone connection. He will contact me later. Jay returned my call at 3.45pm on 7/11/7. We discussed the site plan and he seemed comfortable with the plan. He will review the site plan on line and comment. He is fine with my credentials on line, he can print a copy if he needs it. The fire department will attend the shoot and will attend a brief safety meeting prior to the shoot. He is aware of the dry wheat field and will have two trucks there as a precaution. I am told that Stan will plow the field prior to th shoot. They will ensure that Prairie road is blocked off from about 9:15 until the shoot is over. item Closed |

Additionally, the maximum chained fuse times are indicated for each type of shell. The actual firing sequence is not yet defined, but shouldn’t be required for the shoot – it is just for my use.
