Fantasy Nights Fireworks in conjunction with the Lake Pueblo State Park authorities and the Bureau of Reclamation are planning a Memorial day celebration to show our gratefulness for our men and woman in uniform now and in the past. We need your help.
Fantasy Nights Fireworks has proposed to donate the first $1000.00 towards a $4000.00 (retail value) fireworks display to be held during the Memorial day weekend at Lake Pueblo State Park. The event will be free to the public, however the State Park entry fee will still be applicable for all participants. We are looking for sponsors to help with the additional costs of insurance, licensing, fireworks transportation, event crowd control and public safety, event security, event fire safety and event advertising.
We plan to solicit support from amongst our local business and private citizens. Our plan is a simple one. We plan to contact our local businesses and private organizations for pledge commitments. No monies will be collected until we are sure that the costs of the event can be covered. Once we have sufficient pledge commitments, we will again contact the generous sponsors and collect the pledges. Donations may be made by check, or via Credit card or PayPal at www.hicohost.com/pueblo_memorial_day_donations. If we have not received sufficient pledges by April 25, 2008 we will abandon the effort for this year and initiate the effort for next year.
We hope to make this an annual event. In the event that there is a funding surplus, the additional funds shall be placed in an escrow account to be used for next year’s event. If there is not enough support for a repeat event next year the surplus funds will either be used to purchase "care packages" for our troops overseas through the American Red Cross or be donated directly to the American Red Cross if all of our troops have been safely returned home by then.
In return for your donation your Company name and address will be placed on the flyers to be hung in your windows and handed out at the Lake Pueblo State park entry gates. Additionally, if we receive newspaper or radio advertising support, your sponsorship and company name may be listed or broadcast over the radio.
